Thank you for considering volunteering at Musky Fest!

Each year, the Musky Festival relies on the time, energy, and enthusiasm of many dedicated volunteers to help bring this beloved community celebration to life. With thousands of visitors and a full weekend of activities, volunteers play an essential role in making the festival run smoothly from start to finish.

Whether you can help early in the morning, during festival hours, or at the end of the weekend, there are many ways to get involved. Even a small amount of time makes a big difference. Below are several volunteer opportunities available during Musky Fest and a brief description of what each role involves.

2026 Musky Festival Student & Nonprofit Group Volunteer Partnership

Overview

The Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to building strong partnerships with local schools and student organizations, and nonprofits while creating meaningful opportunities for community involvement at Musky Fest.

Participating groups have the opportunity to earn funds by volunteering at the festival. Financial contributions are provided to eligible student and nonprofit organizations in recognition of their time, teamwork, and support of this community celebration.

Contribution Structure

  • A financial contribution will be provided to participating groups (volunteers and group lead).

  • Participation may include student athletic teams, school clubs, nonprofit organizations, and other organized groups.

  • Any group receiving $600 or more must complete and submit a W-9 in order to receive compensation.

Purpose of the Contribution

  • Provide student and nonprofit groups an opportunity to earn funds for their programs or missions.
  • Encourage community engagement and volunteerism.
  • Support local schools, clubs, and nonprofit organizations that contribute their time and effort.
  • Strengthen collaboration between the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce and community partners.
  • Build community pride through service and participation in a signature Hayward event.
