Event Information

In celebration of the 75th Annual Musky Festival in 2025, the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a medallion hunt with a cash prize valuing $2,025. 

Check out our Clue Page every day for updated clues to the whereabouts of the official disc- hidden somewhere in the Twin Ports – Duluth/Superior/Proctor.

Before you begin, please read the list below to ensure everyone has a fun, safe, and fair hunt.

  • The 2025 Musky Fest Medallion is made of clear acrylic and is approximately 5.5 inches in diameter. It has unique markings and cannot be duplicated. Any forgeries will be easily identifiable. Furthermore, when the medallion is submitted, we will ask you specifically where it was found.
  • The winner of the medallion hunt must be at least 18 years of age or older. However, anyone under the age of 18 may search as long as an adult claims the prize and assumes responsibility for any taxes associated with winning.
  • The medallion is hidden outdoors on public property within a 10 mile radius of the Hayward Information Center (15805 US Hwy 63).
  • The medallion will be hidden above ground. However, it is possible the medallion will be buried by loose debris (sticks, leaves, etc.).
  • No climbing or scaling will be required.
  • It will not be necessary to bend or destroy vegetation to find the medallion.
  • The medallion will not be hidden within 10 feet of any body of water.

The Medallion Will Not be Hidden:

  • On the grounds of the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation
  • In any government building or on government office grounds
  • Under natural or artificial turf
  • On any golf course (but may be on park grounds featuring disc golf)
  • On any construction site
